#BrainFactMonday – Embrace the Power of Daydreaming: Unlocking Creativity, Problem-Solving, and Mental Well-Being

Posted on 23rd December 2022

Did you know that having your mind wander is 𝗻𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵𝘆?

The areas of the brain that control "task-unrelated thought" (such as daydreaming) are almost always active while the brain is at rest.

🧠 So when you catch yourself daydreaming, don't feel embarrassed and rather encourage it (unless you're on a task that requires 100% of your attention).

👍 Research has proved that daydreaming generates new perspectives that often lead to 𝗼𝘂𝘁-𝗼𝗳-𝘁𝗵𝗲-𝗯𝗼𝘅 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 - this means that when you’re stumped by a problem, instead of trying harder to solve it, try the opposite.

Daydreaming can help you:

👉 Lessens stress and anxiety

👉 Solve problems

👉 Reach your goals

👉 Expands your creativityBreaks for daydreaming are not only pleasant but also vital for us because our brain cannot sustain focus and productivity indefinitely.

Take care of your brain by providing good quality daydreaming breaks. 👍
