It's Bruna 👋 wishing you a joyous holiday season!
It’s that time of the year when we reflect on our journey, where we've come from, where we're headed next year, and everything in between. Here, I guide you on your journey of reflection, breaking away from conventional advice and focusing on what really matters.
So, carve out quality time to answer questions that will transform your reflections into practical breakthroughs for the coming year.
And at the end, you’ll find a treat from me, don’t miss it!
It'll take you about 3 minutes to read through, and you'll walk away with:
- Unusual and helpful questions for quiet introspection
- Tips on creating the ideal atmosphere to maximise your reflection time
- A special treat for you!
First of all, be aware that creating the right atmosphere that will fuel your reflections and keep you connected with yourself is equally important.
Here’s how you can do it:
- Nature's symphony: surround yourself with the ambient sounds of nature, be it a crackling fireplace (plenty of them on YouTube), raindrops on a window, or a distant thunderstorm. These natural rhythms enhance your reflective space.
- Aromas of insight: essential oils are known for promoting introspection. Infuse your space with frankincense, lavender, or cedarwood to create a calming and focused atmosphere.
- Tactile inspiration: incorporate tactile elements that evoke reflection. Arrange smooth stones, textured fabrics, or a cosy blanket in your space. The tactile experience can ground you and enhance the depth of your contemplation.
- Sculpting reflections: use malleable materials like clay or Play-Doh as you reflect. Sculpting can be a unique way to externalize thoughts and feelings. Mould your reflections into tangible forms and observe what emerges.
- Luminescent shadows: experiment with lighting to create intriguing shadows in your space. Use candles, fairy lights, or unique light fixtures to cast captivating shadows on the walls. The interplay of light and shadow can stimulate creative thinking.
Once you set the atmosphere for reconnecting with yourself, focus on key questions:
- In which unexpected moments did I find resilience?
- What seemingly small wins had the most significant impact on my journey?
- Which challenges revealed untapped strengths or skills?
- What do I need to let go of, and what will I bring in my 2024?
- How can I bring more of who I am into what I do?
- If I had to describe my ideal professional legacy, what would it be?
- What unique skill or perspective can I bring to my industry that sets me apart?
- What are the key words that will define my 2024?
So that’s all, you don’t need much more than that. But if you want to deepen your reflections, you can find many more resources here, including a guided journal to help you go deeper and set you up for success.
So what does “success” mean to you? I'd love to hear some reflections from your introspection. If you feel like sharing it, hit reply and keep me posted, it always makes me smile to hear from my readers 🙂.
And it’s now finally time for your Christmas present: a 20% OFF of my Coaching Gift Voucher so you can treat your loved one with a transformative gift.
