Hey there,
It's Bruna here, happy weekend!
In this week's issue, I will share one of the most powerful tools I've developed for my clients. It's so great that when they see it they're literally in awe and can’t wait to start using it!
This simple yet powerful tool is the missing piece of the puzzle you need to achieve any goal, including changing yourself, and it takes only 2.5-min every day! And if you and I, cannot even find 2.5-min every day… well, we have a much bigger problem!
It will take you about 4 minutes and 6 seconds to read, and you'll walk away with:
- A system that helps you reflect on the micro-steps necessary to achieve your goal
- A structure that keeps you on track in a sustainable way
- An overview of the obstacles you may need to remove
Enjoy!

THE PROBLEM: FALLING OFF TRACK
We all know the drill - we set out with the best of intentions, are motivated and determined to make a change in our lives. We buy the gym membership, we buy the self-help book, we buy the kale smoothies. And then, just a few weeks in, we find ourselves back on the couch, bingeing on Netflix and grabbing another slice of greasy pizza.
Why does this happen? Well, for one thing, change is difficult. It requires effort, discipline, and a willingness to step outside of our comfort zones. We do it, that’s not a problem in itself. The real problem is how to do it sustainably. And that’s the problem we’re going to solve today.
That's where coaching comes in. A good coach can help you build the structure you need to stay focused and motivated. But what if you don't have a coach? Is all hope lost?
Fear not.
Here’s the solution I use with my clients and now you can adopt it too. It's a customizable tracking system that is so simple it's almost laughable. And yet, it works.
THE SOLUTION: YOUR PERSONAL TRACKING SYSTEM
Here's how it works:
You create a table with the first column listing all the things you have identified that you need to do to achieve your goal (in the next newsletter we’ll dig deep into how to find out what these steps are, stay tuned!) This could be anything from "Practise the 80/20% Pareto rule at work" to "Replace the belief “I’m not good enough” with a more empowering “I’m capable of achieving everything I set my mind to".
Then, you create a column for each day of the month.
Each evening, before you go to bed, you take a look at that table and put an X in the column for that day if you took the action or respected the principle you committed to.
You can’t get lost anymore - unless you consciously want to, but that’s called self-sabotage and it’s a whole different story… P.S. stay tuned as we’ll address that topic too in an upcoming newsletter!
And here's the best part - this tool is customizable. You can make it as detailed or as broad as you want. You can track your progress towards specific goals, or you can just use it as a general reminder to stay on track. Some clients even colour-code it, if that's your jam, go for it!
Now, I know what you're thinking. "This sounds too easy. There's no way this can work." But I challenge you to give it a try. You might be surprised at how effective it can be. Again, it’s not about what you and I think, it’s about leveraging how your brain works and that’s exactly what this tool does.
If after a couple of weeks, you notice a half-empty scenario like this below, well… you know some obstacles probably need to be removed or your strategy be reviewed.

Mind you, change is not as hard as it seems. It’s definitely less challenging when you know how your brain works and what it needs to achieve your goal. Your brain craves a tracking system that will help it do what you want it to do for you.
I M P O R T A N T: You don't have to complete every activity every single day; it's okay to miss a few of them. Do your best, but do it with compassion and comprehension. Its purpose is to serve as a daily reminder of your commitment and a summary of what is and is not working, not to contain X.
Give it a go and you’ll not only stay on track, but you'll also enjoy the little elation that comes with putting the X next to your intention. And don’t underestimate the power of having something to look back on… one day you’ll look back and say "Wow, I did it! I made the change I wanted to make." It will do wonders for your self-esteem!
So, what do you say? Are you up for the challenge? I'd love to hear your thoughts on this system and how it's working for you. Shoot me an email and let's chat.
See you in two weeks, same place, same time.
